Doe Maar

Doe Maar is one of the most iconic Dutch bands of the 1980s, and from October 2025, producer MediaLane brought their story to the stage at the Afas Theater in Leusden. The result is a unique production that blends the energy of a musical with the nostalgia of a reunion concert and the wit of a cabaret show. Developed in close collaboration with the original band members, the show is an ultimate tribute to the golden era of Dutch pop music.

STS played a key role in bringing this production to life. Alongside the existing STS fly tower already installed at the venue, three additional lifts were built and integrated into the stage. A smaller turntable was mounted on the centre lift, adding dynamic movement to the set and enabling seamless scene transitions. The combination of vertical and rotational movement gives the production a visual depth that matches the energy of the music.
