Senior mechanical engineer

As a Senior Engineer, you will be involved in the realisation of theatre equipment and musical technology. This includes winches, lifts and complex floors with driven tracks, turntables, etc. The development of this is done with Solid Works and possibly other CAD systems. You will participate in the flow of the entire project. You work in a small fixed team and therefore have many different tasks. From modelling and drawing up drawings yourself to directing external engineers. It is precisely this ‘multi-skilled’ attitude that makes our company so resilient. We work together on interesting projects, which often run side by side in different phases. Being able to quickly and being able to set priorities is important. In order to meet deadlines, we often start with a part of the project before the end result is clear. This requires your flexibility. You can really make a difference at STS and work as a link in world-class projects. Mackintosh and Robin de Levita. We have automated over 100 shows including Harry Potter, Hamilton, Tarzan, The Lion King, Rocky, The Lord of the Rings, Mamma Mia, Soldier of Orange and The Phantom of the Opera. Our rigging installations and Fly-bar system can be found in theatres such as the Nationaal Dans Theater (Scheveningen), DeLaMar Theatre (Amsterdam), the Bolshoi and MDM Theatres (Moscow) and the Royal Concertgebouw (Amsterdam). Unique to our approach is the integration of theatre production, chain hoist and performer fly installations, using standard prefabricated components. standard prefabricated modules that are easy to install and maintain.
