Are you:
That world traveler who wants to be included in the entire project and make sure the project is commissioned at the customer’s site?
During commissioning, everything comes together: your day consists of producing and installing everything that moves automated in a show or theater. From flying sets and people to elevators, automated set objects and show decks: STS provides the mechanics and electrical systems as a turnkey solution. We automate electric motors, servo, pneumatics and hydraulics. And that’s where your expertise comes in.
Your work will mainly take place in the preparation and execution in the electrical and automation field. You take care of the electrical preparation in consultation with the WTB. In addition, you supervise the assembly and eventually commission the produced machines. As a maker you are critical of the products and think about improvements in the assemblies. No two days are the same. We are a flat organization and there is a lot of contact between the different departments.
We are:
Silicon Theatre Scenery BV (STS), the leading manufacturer of total solutions for the global Theatre & Show automation industry. We are at the forefront of the musical and theater industry and we are proud to say that we have collaborated on major musical productions such as Stranger Things, Frozen, Harry Potter, Back to the Future, Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Soldier of Orange, and so on.
At STS, we make the impossible possible. We realize design ideas such as flying helicopters, a free moving DeLorean and Aladdin’s flying carpet. You’ll see modeled machines skillfully brought to life in our workshop.
On what adventure do we want to take you:
- Global projects: the opportunity to work on major international theater projects and contribute to the world’s most spectacular shows. And that in a small, dynamic company with about 15 employees.
- Technical challenges: the chance to be involved in realizing impossible ideas and developing innovative solutions for automated theater and show elements.
- Inspiring work environment: a flat organizational structure with lots of interaction and cooperation between different departments, where you can learn from experienced professionals in the field.
- Personal development: opportunities to further develop your skills and knowledge through training and experience.
The ideal candidate has a college education in Mechatronics, with several years of work experience. Obviously you have good oral and written command of the Dutch language and knowledge of the English language. You also have a driving license B(E).
