Theatre Utrecht

Work had to be carried out at the Utrecht Theatre in 2002 in order to meet health and safety legislation. There are a total of 75 STS new multi-wire winches with a capacity of 500 kg. The winches are placed vertically, at one side of the grid, so that a minimum of floor area is used. The work in the building occurred during the summer break. The conversion to automated winches took place during the nights and the work was carried out from up to downstage. Due to thorough planning, within 48 hours, 20 winch sets had been installed and connected and ready for performances. In 2003, following the second phase of the project,  the bridge portal was modified.
